Without RVP, Arsenal are not going to win anything this year, yet again.
Somebody predicted Arsenal are not going to win anything since Almunia keeps Arsenal's goal; while some others bet Wenger cannot win another trophy with Arsenal. I do NOT want to believe, but they are right until this moment.
Arsenal surprisingly got their formation right at the start of this season. Playing RVP as the invisible no.9, linking wingers and midfielders, and allowing them to get into the box. They were betted to become the highest ever goal-scoring team since then.
Everything changes after RVP's injury in a stupid freiendly international match.
Wenger tried all strikers in the team and found only Arshavin, the best player in the team, is capable to replace RVP in the central role. This makes their best player out of position, and other players play out of poistion to replace Arshavin's role. That's why Wenger did not put Arshavin there after the failure of Eduardo and Vela.
Nasri needs to play as a winger and Walcott on the other wing. Nasri could not still find his best position in arsenal. He can dribble but not fast enough to be a winger. He can link teammates well but without a Cesc vision. He best play in the Denilson role. But without too many options, hw need to play upfront. Walcott did not improve since his hat track in Russia. He even drops after his continous injury. A winger without final ball is the best description on him. If the offense on the other wing is good enough, Walcott can be provided more space to run. But now he cannot.
Eduardo is a better option to a team as a central role but he plays 4-4-2. Rosicky will be a better options as a winger but he cannot play consecutive matches. Bendtner maybe good to the team but he is injuried at the moment the team need him. Vela cannot prove himself excluding Carling Cup matches.
When Arsenal cannot attack, what does the word Arsenal mean?
